This popular village group welcomes novices and experienced gardeners alike at their monthly meetings which are held on a monthly basis from October to May. Whatever your level of experience you will usually find something to interest you, and you may even win a raffle prize or be presented with a fledgling plant.

Our meetings are held on a monthly basis through the autumn, winter and spring. They start with a Question and Answer session. Everyone is welcome to attend. To view future and past meetings click on the Meetings link at the left hand side of the page. If any readers can add to the answers would they please email the author. We would be very happy to hear from you.

The next meeting will be on Thursday 23rd May when we have an exciting talk "From Fish to Dish" with Ben Fitch presenting Aquaponics and Microgreens, a talk about growing micro vegetables and herbs. This is a new initiative and should prove to be of interest to us all. This meeting will include the AGM which will precede the talk. We shall be serving wine and nibbles during the evening.

2019 Plant Sale

It's over for anyone who wanted to come! We held a very successful morning on 18th May. We had a great selection of flowers and vegetables this year. Thank you to everyone who supported us and brought plants.

Visit

Under the link to the Village Show you can also read about our 2106 visit to Marks Hall Estate which was thoroughly enjoyed by all members who went.

Facebook Page

We now have a Facebook Page "Ashdon Gardening Club" where we will add any notices in future. Notices of future meetings are also placed on Ashdon Parish Council's website. We are happy to include any gardening related notice on the Facebook page and also hope that members and others will put gardening tips and information on the site and post photos of their gardens or any that you think are worth visiting.

Show winners 2018

To see who won the prizes at the last show, click on the Show link at the left hand side of the page then navigate to the 2017 Show page.

Seed swap

Start saving your seeds! They need to be dry and sealed in an envelope or folded paper and marked with the date of collection and species of seed. The colour and height details would also be useful. We shall have seed-swapping at our meetings.
